My name is Mohamad Nor Herman Bin Sulaiman and you can call me Herman. I born in Johor Darul Takzim, in Hospital Sultanah Aminah located in Johor Bahru at 30th of November 1986. Before I elaborate more about myself, I want to share with you about my family.
My father’s name is Sulaiman Bin Abu and he was a policeman. Then in 1996, my father passed away and my mother took care of us. My mother’s name is Punirah Bte That Dorot. Before I forgot, I have 3 sisters and I’m the first. The first sister Siti Zahara Bte Sulaiman who now studied in UPM, then Fatin Hanisah Bte Sulaiman who work as a promoter, and lastly Aisyah Syazana Bte Sulaiman who now studied in form 5. My mother works as an assistant laundry shop in Johor Bahru. I want to thanks to my mother because she can take care of us until now. Thanks mom!
Ok, back to the business, I once lived in Kulim, Kedah, because of transferring of my late father to Kulim. Then, after my father passed away, we back to Johor, to live there because in Johor we have many relatives and my grandmother took care of us because my mother go to work. Then, in 2006, my mother remarried and we got a new father! He’s name is Mohd Amir. Now, our family is completed and I glad because of that.
Then, I want to tell you about my education process, from primary school until now, International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). I once studied in Kedah, from standard 1 until standard 4. The name of the school is Sekolah Sri Kulim. After that, I go back to Johor and further my study in Sekolah Md. Khir Johari, located in Kg. Melayu Majidee, Johor Bahru. Then, I went to form 1 and entered into Sekolah Agama Al-Quran Waddin, Kg. Melayu Majidee, Johor Bahru. I studied there until I graduated. I learnt a lot from this school. I learnt how to be responsible and how to be independent, because I lived in hostel and it gives a lot of experiences and lessons to survive in this world. After I graduated, I want to further my study and my mission on that time is to enter into the university. At that time I didn’t mind which university I get, as long as I can study in university. And fortunately, I got a call from Matriculation Centre of International Islamic University of Malaysia (MCIIUM) and told me that I can further my study in there. Alhamdulillah, praise to God for this opportunity! And now, I study in main campus of IIUM, studying Islamic Revealed Knowledge, majoring in Fiqh and Usul Fiqh, and minoring in IT. I’m in 4th year, 1st semester in this year.
Ok, my career to be…hmm, alright, I start from when I’m in standard 1 until now. At standard 1 until standard 3, I want to be a policeman; because of my father is a policeman and I admire him so much. After that, in standard 4 until standard 6, I want to be a teacher. Then, in form 1 until form 5, I want to be an artist. At that time I love drawing. Until now, it becomes hobby of mine. After I enter into university, I change a lot in my prospect of life. Before this, if I take Islamic courses, the job to be is an Ustaz only. After that, I know that to be an Ustaz is not only option; we can be a Syariah officer, Islamic IT programmer, or work in Islamic banking. Then I realized, it’s all about determination from inside, whether we want to be an Ustaz, or Syariah Officer, or Islamic IT programmer.
Let’s talk about my personalities. Frankly speaking, I’m simple. However, sometimes I’m not simple at all. Maybe I’m simple in the way I talk, in the way of living, but I’m not simple with planning. Sometimes, I take a lot of time in order to plan, whether this is good or not and so on. I love to think about others. My mom always said to me that we have to think about others.
